3D CHARACTER MODELS

This is a display of some of the 3D character models I have created in Maya whilst I have been at university.

Trixie

Trixie is my own original character created for my final film for third year at university. I modelled her using Zbrush and then retopologised and created UV's in Maya. I hand painted her textures in Adobe Substance Painter.

Trixie is the first character that I have created from start to finish and so I am quite proud of her outcome. Trixie was a huge part of the pipeline and is the main character in my animated short film, 'Behind Young Eyes.'

Teddy

Teddy is an original character created as the deuteragonist in my short film. He went through the same process that Trixie did and so was also modelled using Zbrush and then retopologised and UV'd in Maya. I hand painted his textures in Adobe Substance Painter.

As Teddy is not a human character it was interesting to see how the modelling process differed in comparison to when I modelled Trixie. I liked the use of different shape theory to support his character; the use of rounder and softer shapes was purposefully done due to his character being of a caring and comforting nature.

Human Anatomy Model

This model was to develop my knowledge in modelling realistically. This was made using ZBrush. Although this is different to my usual style of work, I really enjoyed tackling this project!
